This driver connects Niagara AX or N4 to the smart electro meters using the "Smart Message Language" - SML, e.g. the "elektronischer Haushalts Zähler" - eHZ. These kind of meters are already standard in different European countries and shall become standard in complete Europe in the next years. The SML protocol will work for every kind of smart meter (Water, Gas, Heating,…). If needed for another kind of meter please don’t hesitate to contact us.
The communication needs a serial RS232 port. At the meter side in most cases a magnetic probe will be used, connected to the front side interface. Currently supported are EDL-21 eHZ meters. An adaption to other kind of smart meter is easily possible.
This product is also available in combination with the PsSerComOverTelnet N-driver extension. With that it is possible to handle 100 eHz and, on request, more.
